Mixing and matching patterns, colors, and materials is my favorite part of creating one-of-a-kind pieces. This messenger bag is made from a vintage cotton chenille kitchen towel and trimmed with fun orange fringe around the flap. The body of the bag is made from red/black/white vintage upholstery fabric. It is fully lined with heavy gray duck cloth and features an interior pocket and an exterior back pocket. There are no zippers. Gravity will do its job to keep the flap in place. The crossbody style strap is made from cotton twill webbing. The length is adjusted with a slider and can extend from 30"-54".
When designing bags, I take quite a lot into consideration - size, function, usefulness, versatility .... This medium sized bag is roomy enough to carry an ipad, magazines, wallet, phone, and a few extras. It holds quite a bit, but not so much that you feel like you're carrying around a small suitcase.
Adjustable strap intended for crossbody wear.
This messenger bag does not have a snap or zipper, allowing easy access and hands-free shopping. I have found that the length and weight of the flap keeps the bag shut even on a windy day.
